Obese man who 'didn't know what calories were' drops 10st by doing one thing

Danny Mabley, who didn’t have a clue what calories were, ballooned to 22st 2lbs after gorging on chips and fizzy drinks as a child.
The 21-year-old, from British Columbia, Canada, was so overweight he began suffering from sleep apnoea and had trouble nodding off at night.
His size made him a target for bullies at school causing Danny to skip class and sink into depression.

It was only when Danny got a job after leaving school two years ago that a co-worker took him to the gym and he fell in love with weight-lifting.
Pumping iron at the gym five times a week helped Danny to sculpt a new lean physique, without realising it he was losing 10lbs a month.
Danny said: "I simply fell in love with weight-lifting and with that came the need to eat well.
"I started flexible dieting. I ate what I wanted but I ate clean most of the day.
"I tried to avoid soda and candy and the weight was coming off and it really kept me going."

RIPPED: Danny took up weight-lifting to build muscle
After just six months, the fitness fanatic had had shrunk to 17st 8lbs and now he weighs in at just 12st 2lbs.
His hobby also helped him to reduce the amount of excess skin he was left with.
Danny explained: "Because I was weight-lifting I filled a lot of the space that was fat with muscle.
"The loose skin is definitely still there and sometimes it bothers me as I wish my chest was tighter, but it's not as bad as it could be.
"I documented the whole journey from the beginning online. Firstly for myself to have a record but also because I wanted to be held accountable.
"Now I am a personal trainer and it's great to be able to inspire other people."
